Hiking in OregonThere is a range of hiking options for the enthusiast in Oregon. The image at the left can only be seen by hiking down to the edge of Crater Lake. Follow the signs to the boat trips and plan for a few hours. The trail is hot and dusty. There are restrooms at the lake side. It always wise to bring water and dress in layers. Other wonderful vistas are available at the Columbia Gorge Area. To reach Triple Falls it is a 2 and a half mile walk in. Check out William Sullivans books or his web site for an authority in Oregon Hiking and trails. Sweet Creek Trail and Falls - Highway 126 from Mapleton turn right after the bridge, take Sweet Creek Road 10 miles to trailhead or continue 2 miles up the road for the Falls trail. Short walk to lower falls, do not miss upper trail above the falls to get this view.
